I am so grateful to have met Jess and her husband Les and daughter Ella. She contacted me via email inquiring about a fall family session back in 2015 and we’ve seen each other every year since then. We decided to meet at Colony Farm that day and it was such a beautiful and crisp fall day.
When we met at the photography location, I remember thinking what a cool and chic lady. There was something about her that drew me to her and I knew we were going to get along great!
Fast forward to 2019. I have been photographing this family for 4 years now, annually for Mother’s day and occasionally for fall photos. It has been such a pleasure watching Ella grow year after year and become such a sassy little lady. But even more so, it has been such a pleasure photographing Jess for her annual Mother’s day portraits. Talk about self-love. She treats herself to this experience every year and I am so grateful. Les came too, but he was assigned lip gloss assistant and coffee tumbler holder for this session. He always knows how to make Ella giggle so I was grateful for his presence too!
This year, we hit up Old Orchard Park in Port Moody – one of my absolute favorite locations. There’s a little bit of everything there. Jess is such a natural when it comes to being in front of the camera. She has this elegance about her but also knows how to be a bit goofy! The connection between her and Ella is so beautiful. Ella looks at her with so much love and gratitude and you can tell they have a great relationship. It really makes me want to go home and give my kiddos an extra squeeze!
